Ten's HD Channel Launch At the Network Ten 2008 program launch event on Wednesday afternoon, Ten’s CEO Grant Blackley announced that Ten will launch its new HD channel on Sunday 16 December. Promotion of the new channel will commence with a 60 second HD information spot in the Australian Idol final this Sunday. The spot’s theme music is ‘I can see clearly now’. The new HD channel will have 50 hours per week of first run HD programs, including new series, documentaries and Sci-Fi programs. He also announced that Ten will be launching a new SD multi-channel service in January 2009. If you would like an earlier look at the promo Ten have loaded it onto their website www.ten.com.au This is a result of Ten rearranging their FTA transmission on Tuesday AM to place TenHD on logical 1 and logical 12 while their SD service remains on logical 10. There are no other services in the Ten multiplex. If anyone is having trouble with their service from Ten a rescan of the STB will resolve it.
